GAP, the clothes shop knows all about customer service !

Was looking for some new stuff to wear today. Got my pay, got to spend it right ! So got my acts together and headed straight to GAP store in central Paris. As soon as I entered the wooden “parquet” store I was greeted with a genuine “hello”. Not over the top, just the right thing to say when you enter somewhere, might it be a petrol station or a perfume shop. After looking around the jeans shelves for five minutes, one of the staff came up and said “do you need any help?”, I said “yeah, I’m looking for pants just like these, what size do you recommend ?”. She looked at me, nodded, then pulled out the perfect sized (I realized that later in the cabins) jean. Went to try it on, perfect. Then she catches me again out of the changing rooms and says with a smile “grab one of these, it will be a perfect fit with those pants”. So I did. She greeted again with a goodbye. Finale ? 114 euros ! But none the less it was an enriching experience to be served and taken care of that way. It’s the sort of service we miss those days in France !
